Founded in Alexandria in 2009, EMICS (Egyptian Marine Insurance Consultations & Services) provides specialized marine surveying, risk assessment, and claims consultancy across Egyptian ports, including Alexandria, Port Said, Damietta, and the Suez Canal. The company had an outdated digital presence that failed to communicate its specialized maritime services clearly. Alex Seif was independently contracted to redesign and restructure the company website, improving information architecture, readability, and administrative maintainability.

Architectural Decisions

• ->Content Restructuring: Reorganized complex marine insurance and technical surveying offerings into clear, navigable service categories, eliminating cluttered legacy page hierarchies.
• ->Responsive Layout Migration: Replaced the non-responsive legacy layout with a fluid mobile-first design, ensuring clear legibility for maritime adjusters and shipowners accessing the site on mobile devices and shipboard connections.
• ->Administrative Simplification: Standardized the WordPress administrative backend so internal non-technical staff could update company news, branch details, and contact points without developer assistance.
